Google AdWords is the advertising programme by Google. With AdWords you can easily and effectively advertise through the main search window in Google. For example: When a user enters the search entry ‘good guitars for beginners’ in Google, it displays several relevant search results. These results consist of, among others, links to articles with advice on the purchase of guitars, websites, etc. In addition, AdWords ads are also displayed, which lead to businesses selling guitars, giving music lessons, or other products and services related to the search entry.
This does come at a cost however. Depending on how much value Google puts on the search keywords you are interested in, Google will put a ‘Cost Per Click’ or CPC value on each time someone clicks through to your website. For instance if each click through to your website is valued at 1 euro and 30 people click through to your site each day for 30 days then your bill from Google at the end of that month would be 900 euro. This obviously can get very expensive very quickly so other plans have been designed to control your costs. You can set a limit per day of perhaps 5 clicks through to your site. Once five people have visited then Google will stop your ad appearing until the next day. This manages your costs allowing you to see how much business the AdWords are generating for you on a week to week, month to month basis.
Meta Tags are code of a web page that tells search engines what the page is supposed to be about. The three Meta tags that we most important to internet marketing are the “Title”, “Description”, and “Keywords” tags within the html code. It is important to do the keyword research before writing description, keywords, alt tags, so you know what words to target for your specific product or business service.
Our experienced Search Engine Optimization writers will write focused related title, description and keyword tags for your website. We will also install Robot .txt (text) files to protect files or pages from being noticed from search engines, as well to let the search engines know what pages to index.
Title tags tell the search engine the main focus of what the webpage is about and the main focus of the related content. Title tags are also displayed in the top of each page, so that visitors will have a better idea of what the webpage is about.
Keyword tags tells the search engine what keywords are important for the specific page. The idea within the keyword tags is to provide a list of synonyms to the keywords used in the body of the website.
Description tag tells the search engine a brief description what the page is about, or what products is being sold on the exact page.
Meta tags are the foundation of each page within the site.
SEO (Short for search engine optimization) the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a Web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user. It is common practice for Internet users to not click through pages and pages of search results, so where a site ranks in a search is essential for directing more traffic toward the site.
SEO helps to ensure that a site is accessible to a search engine and improves the chances that the site will be found by the search engine.
The general term CMS refers to an installed system allowing a client to update the text and image content of their website without the need for specific software. Most of the websites we create for clients now include some form of CMS capability. Our clients login to a password protected page using their internet browser and perform basic text corrections and additions quickly and easily. The system we use is no more complicated than using any basic text editor such as Microsoft Word. A website CMS is therefore the best way to run a large website, or indeed any site where regular edits or changes are made; and where additional functions will be needed at a later date. A large or complex site will be far quicker and cheaper to build with a CMS.
